Greetings Homeschool Families and Associations!

Dear Homeschool Families,
We are VERY excited to announce the opportunity for homeschool families to camp in the Park this spring. Typically we have only two overnights a year, one each for girl and boy scouts, but we thought we'd try something new and host one just for our homeschoolers. Check out what we've planned for you:

SPRING HOMESCHOOL DAY & OVERNIGHT

Saturday, April 21-Sunday, April 22, 2012
The opportunity to sleep beneath the stars has always been very limited at the Park, but we're opening it to homeschool families this spring. Join us for the rare opportunity to see the Park at night. Below are program details.

Evening of Fun

Check-in between 4:30 and 5pm. We will allow for tent set-up after 5pm. Bring your bagged supper, cook stoves or opt to cook over our open fire ring. (Please remember this will be a community ring, so let's share! We may add additional rings based on registration numbers.) After dinner, get ready for our night programs! Both program are included in the price and everyone will have the opportunity to do both.

Programs

What's that Noise?
Join a Park Specialist for a guided night hike to explore the sounds of nature at night. Don't forget a flashlight!
Nocturnal by Nature
This program will let your family meet some animals that are active at night and investigate the signs they leave behind.

Costs

  • $12 for Grady's Kids Club members
  • $18 for non-Kids Club members
  • $12 for adult Annual Passholders
  • $24 for non-passholder adults
Call 800-277-9611 to register.
We will hold your registration with a credit card number. You have the option to pay by check on the day of the event, but a reservation will not be held without the credit card information.
Your admission is good for the day and evening of the event. Since we'll be camping, you are free to explore the day after as well.
If you have questions regarding facilities, programs or other details of the overnight, please email me education@chimneyrockpark.com.
